Knives and Forks at the Ready: Venues and Menus announced for Leicester Restaurant Week 2022

With just under two weeks to go until Leicester Restaurant Week returns to the city for a second year, organisers BID Leicester is thrilled to announce the venues that have signed up so far and the mouth-watering offers they have on the table.

Set to take place from Monday 17th – Sunday 23rd October, Leicester Restaurant Week will be shining a spotlight on some of the best restaurants in the city.  It will give participating eateries the chance to showcase a specially selected, limited-edition menu or to get creative and offer something new and exclusive to customers for one week only.

Leicester Restaurant Week 2022 is already set to be bigger and better than last year, with more venues taking part and more offers up for grabs for discerning diners in the city.

Here are just some of the tasty deals and venues already confirmed:

This year offers start from as little as £5, including coffee and cake at Merchant of Venice as well as lunch deals from Esquires. New additions for 2022 include 2 and 3 course menus from Black Iron Social, as well as a tasting experience at The Frame – the latest addition to St Martins Square.

If you find it hard to choose what to eat, head over to Chutney Ivy for a taste of their menu, with multiple starters and mains served. Meanwhile, there are 2 and 3 course menus available from Queen of Bradgate, Pho, Giggling Squid, Middleton’s, 1573, The Globe, Knight & Garter, Herb and Kayal.

Special offers cooked up by kitchens for one week only include the Rutland Fried Chicken, Chicken Parm Burger and Philly Cheese Steak Poutine at The Rutland & Derby, gourmet Hot Dogs from Crafty Burger and 20% off organic wine to go with the new evening menu at Prana Café.

For those who prefer a day time feast over dinner, offers from &Kith, Orso and Esquires include brunch and lunch classics to enjoy, starting from £10. The week also coincides with half-term in the city, and there are some great offers for families to take advantage of, including Dough WHAT’s family pizza feast, a family Afternoon Tea offer from Five Fox Lane and a special offer for kids to eat for £1 for every paying adult at Revolution. There really is something for everyone’s tastes and pockets.

BID Director, Simon Jenner, added: “Our aim with Leicester Restaurant Week is to showcase as many of our fantastic eateries as possible. It’s great to see so many one-week-only offers coming through from such a wide variety of restaurants in the city.

“I am delighted that Leicester Restaurant Week will encourage diners to come out and enjoy the city at such great value, which is an important consideration for people currently. The event will give locals and visitors alike the opportunity to try somewhere new or an excuse to head back to their favourite dining spot to make the most of the delicious deals on offer.”

Leicester Restaurant Week 2022 will be running throughout the city from Monday 17th – Sunday 23rd October 2021. There are over 30 participating venues and more than 50 offers online.
