Leicester Ukrainian Centre – Fosse Road South
Leicester’s Ukrainian community have launched an appeal for donations, which are needed by those currently living in their war-torn home country
The community, which has its base, the Leicester Ukrainian Centre in Fosse Road South, have turned the building into a place for people to drop off donations, for those currently living in Ukraine. They are currently accepting donations of medical supplies (which must be in date), including; first aid kits, wound dressing materials, painkillers, multivitamins and cream for babies (Metanium, Bepanthen, Drapolene). Cash donations: Help Ukraine Emergency Appeal
Your donation will be used to fund immediate emergency and ongoing needs
The appeal has a target of £2,500,000 and is working alongside accredited and registered Ukrainian charities to provide medicines, food and critical services to support the most vulnerable to overcome the consequences and trauma of war. Click here to donate to the Help Ukraine Emergency Appeal.
University of Leicester donation point
Union will be providing an on-campus donation point to collect donations to be sent to Ukraine and other affected areas in Europe.

De Montfort University donation point
DMU collections for Ukraine refugees put on temporary hold while a backlog is cleared.
A call has been made for volunteers to come forward and help clear the massive backlog of goods that has been amassed in the four days since the appeal was first made. Once the current donations have been sorted and gifted, the appeal for goods will be able to start again. Learn more here.
The Salmon Pub donation point
The Salmon is a drop-off point for donations to help Ukrainians who have lost their homes in the ongoing crisis
The pub is working with Klaudia Gudwanska and the Polish Red Cross who are organising relief efforts. Click here for a list of supplies being received. Please make sure that all food is unopened and long-dated. Please bring donations to The Salmon during our opening hours, open at noon, seven days a week.
