Thank you to everyone that took the time to fill in the BID survey; this part of the consultation is complete. However, if you didn’t get a chance to let us know your thoughts via the survey, don’t worry the consultation process isn’t over!
From the feedback we’ve received the Steering Group is writing the Final Consultation document. This will summarise what you told us and be distributed to every voting business in the BID area. This is an opportunity to tell us if anything else should be included or if there are aspects you think should be removed. There is a recurring theme in many of the comments we’ve received during this stage of the process and it’s that you want to see your businesses working together more effectively for the benefit of Leicester city centre.
The Final Consultation document will be the precursor to the BID Business Plan, which will give more detail on how the BID fund will be spent. It’ll also include a map of the BID area, the BID levy rules (including the base rate levy and the threshold, below which business will be exempt from paying the levy), any discounts, and details on how to vote.
This is where it starts to get exciting as your opinions come together to form the basis of what the BID could look like. Hopefully you’ll be able to see what the BID could deliver and how your business could benefit.
