This was the first official BID Leicester event following the 28-day postal ballot in which 85% of businesses voted in favour of establishing the city’s first BID.

Businesses came together to hear from the BID Leicester Chair, Gary Rowntree, Head of Branch at John Lewis Highcross about what the BID will deliver during its first 100 days. Initiates included employing a team of Street Ambassadors, introducing a digital loyalty and advertising platform, working with the established Night Time Economy group to submit an application for Purple Flag (an accreditation similar to Green Flag for parks, but for the evening economy) and compiling options on city centre footfall / journey trackers.
